FAQ

Straight answers about personal AI music

Everything people actually ask about Aiify — what it is, what it costs, who owns the songs, and how it treats your data. Last updated 11 July 2026.

The product

What is Aiify?

Aiify is a personal AI musician: a web app that learns your musical taste from how you listen and generates original songs made just for you — a fresh personal mix every day. Unlike prompt-based AI music generators you never type a prompt, and unlike streaming services the songs don't come from a catalog — they didn't exist until Aiify wrote them for you. Find it at theaiify.com.

How is Aiify different from Suno or Udio?

Suno and Udio are prompt-to-song tools: you describe a song in words, you get a track — and the tool learns nothing about you between sessions. Aiify inverts this: it builds a persistent, explainable taste profile (your Music DNA) from natural listening — plays, skips, loves — and writes new songs against it, every day, with no prompting. The longer you use Aiify, the more precisely the music fits you. Full breakdown: Aiify vs Suno, Udio & Spotify.

How is Aiify different from Spotify?

Spotify recommends songs that already exist — it can find you a song, but it can never make you one. Aiify generates brand-new, original songs modelled on your taste. Aiify's taste model is also explainable: every song can tell you why it was made for you, something no streaming recommender does.

Do I need to write prompts?

No — that's the point. You answer a two-minute vibe questionnaire when you join; after that your listening does the talking. Play, skip, replay, love: that's the entire interface. (When you want to create deliberately, the Studio gives you a full workspace with an AI Producer — but the radio never asks you to prompt.)

What is Music DNA?

Your Music DNA is Aiify's explainable profile of your taste: energy, mood, genres, languages, topics, listening contexts (gym, focus, sleep…) and self-discovered taste lanes, learned continuously from your listening. It steers every song written for you, you can view and reset it anytime, and it's never sold. The full story →

Are the songs really original?

Every song is newly generated — melody, arrangement and original lyrics — not pulled from a catalog. And Aiify is honest about what it is: this is AI music, labeled as AI music. Like all generative AI, output can occasionally resemble existing works; Aiify doesn't pretend its artists are human.

What AI does Aiify use?

Songs are generated by the ACE-Step music model running on Aiify's own self-hosted GPUs — not resold from a third-party API — orchestrated by Aiify's generation brain: composition intelligence, songwriting rules, quality gates and a professional mastering chain. The taste model is deliberately not a neural black box: it's deterministic and score-based, which is what makes "why this song" explanations possible.

Songs & sound

How long does a song take to generate?

Usually a minute or two. Songs are typically 1.5–3.5 minutes long (Pro can extend a track up to 10 minutes), and every one is professionally mastered to the −14 LUFS streaming standard before it reaches your queue.

What genres and languages can it make?

100+ genres — pop, hip-hop, metal, EDM, jazz, samba, Nordic folk, and fusions no catalog stocks. Songs can be sung in 50+ languages including English, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic. The app's interface comes in six languages: English, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, German and French.

Can I download my songs?

Yes — Premium and Pro include downloads as MP3 (320 kbps) or lossless FLAC. Every song is release-quality.

Can I sing along?

Yes — songs come with original lyrics and karaoke-style synced lines, highlighted as the song plays.

Can I use the songs commercially? Who owns them?

Aiify songs are currently licensed for personal use — listening, downloading (paid plans) and sharing. When you publish a song to the charts or a share link, you grant Aiify a licence to host and stream it. Commercial-use licensing is planned; if you have a commercial need today, write to [email protected]. The exact wording lives in the Terms of Service.

How do I cancel?

From your account page, via Stripe's billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your songs, playlists and Music DNA remain on the Free plan.

Access, devices & data

How do I join? Why is it invite-only right now?

Aiify is in early access: every song is generated on real GPUs, so admission scales deliberately rather than all at once. Open the app to join the waitlist — or join instantly with an invite link from a member (members can invite friends; you both get a bonus song per day for a week).

What devices does Aiify work on?

Aiify is a web app that installs as a PWA on iOS, Android and desktop — no app store required. It casts to Chromecast/TV, supports lock-screen and media-key controls, and rides along in the car.

Is my listening data or taste profile sold?

No. Your Music DNA exists to serve you better music — it is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for ad targeting. Aiify is built in Norway under GDPR: you can export your data or delete your account (which erases your data and cancels billing) at any time. Privacy Policy →

How old do I need to be?

At least 16 to create an account.
